Progress Report (June 2022 Edition)
Wen Metzopia? Wen Matterlight? Wen Binance?
Metzopia is now SignaVerse
In March 2022, we announced the launch of our metaverse project: Metzopia by bringing on Las Vegas entrepreneur Gavin Maloof as Business Development & Brand Partnership lead advisor, the project and scope has begun to evolve. One of those evolutions in particular is the name change: SignaVerse. The aim of making this metaverse is to bring on signature, high-end NFTs, launching exclusive 1/1 NFTs, providing premier experiences, and making this truly the Entertainment Capital of the Metaverse with a bevvy of play2earn games and integrations that amplify the Tezotopia Universe tokens.
Wen launch? We’re going to launch the Marketplace in Q3 2022, and we’ll be auctioning a 1/1 Marilyn Monroe dress—the actual dress she owned, a 3D rendered NFT version of the dress, and a 1/1 Marilyn Monroe avatar to be redeemed within SignaVerse will all be bulked into the auction for a winner to own.
More details on the marketplace launch and the vision and roadmap of SignaVerse as a whole will be shared in the coming weeks.
Fundraising Into The Future
We’re actively pursuing different avenues for funding to take Gif.Games to the next level, talks are progressing very well, and the launch of Tezotopia Battles + becoming the #1 game on Tezos has been very beneficial in our proof of concept. Tezos Foundation has been very instrumental in helping our journey through this process, being our cheerleader to VCs and potential partners, also connecting us to the right people to get things on the marketing front rolling. Starting July, a 6-month marketing campaign will begin on Brave browser, and expand to other channels, pronouncing our partnership with Talao, and connecting our users to potential discounts and offers that will lead to conversions and user acquisition.
Mr. Maloof has also been an incredible vital asset in bridging connections with financial resources, major corporations/brands, and entertainment entities. These business moves happening behind the scenes are opening up doors we’d never be able to open on our own. It is securing our future as a top Web3 gaming company, as well as helping us achieve our product goals with Tezotopia and SignaVerse.
The smart contracts for Tezotopia barracks have already been written, we are working on making the interface and user experience seamless for the creation of battle units. Tezotopia Battles launching has been good for the entire ecosystem, we’ve seen an increase in contract calls on the Tezos network, and we’re definitely the ones contributing to that. Fixing and improving our battles has been the priority this last month, but now that we’ve essentially smoothed out the edges on the battle experience, we’re back to focusing on the Tezotopia dApp and additional features such as barracks, spies and diplomats.
Metzopia Lives On
Good news for Metzopia fans, it continues to live on in the world of Matterlight. As stated on the Matterlight info page, the battles in Matterlight will give out victory points that can be converted to Control Points to take control of different parts of the city of Metzopia. Claiming parts of Metzopia will yield a percentage from the UNO Revenue Bank collected from battle tournaments. The map of Metzopia in its entirety will be released soon, along with additional lore that makes up the Tezotopia Universe.
Those concerned about the name change to SignaVerse need not worry, your diplomats still give you a home in SignaVerse; and when we release the full vision/roadmap for SignaVerse we’ll give you a peek into what that’ll look like for Diplo holders.
Those are the major fronts we’re working on as a company. The Big Three: Tezotopia, Matterlight, and SignaVerse—and they’ll come together to form the greater Tezotopia Universe and ecosystem.
Siphoning users from EVM-chains and garnering attention from those users is an ongoing experiment, and we’ll continue to share details on what we have planned for this, as well, once we’ve nailed down all the details.
Again, we thank everybody for the continued support, and I can promise you it will be a very good summer for Tezos and Tezotopia. We look forward to the continued growth and success of GIF as we take it to new heights together.
